The Write Process.
This is where you will find my occasional musings about the art and craft of writing.
I look at the trials, tribulations and rewards of the writing process; common technical issues; habits and strategies to help overcome writing challenges; useful resources. Or rather, that’s the plan!
My aim is to offer a personal take that might get other budding writers thinking – or who knows, maybe even promote some discussion. We will see.
One thing I won’t be doing is dispensing advice. As a self-published and not-at-all-established author, I’m in no position to tell other writers how to go about things. And anyway, the whole idea of expert writing advice has some real problems.
Psst… wanna try my book?

My Background
Though I won’t be dispensing writing advice, I have a fair bit of writing experience. I’ve worked as a commercial copywriter for many years, penning hundreds of articles on everything from health software to hypercars, cultural trends to crime prevention. None of them appear under the P C Minty moniker – that’s reserved for my books and website – but it’s out there. I’ve also written a whole bunch of educational resources, as well as three novels.
No Irony Intended
You’ll notice that the writing on the site is functional, rather than elegant and stylish. This isn’t intended as post-modern irony. It’s just that to get this website project over the line, in whatever form, requires me to stop endlessly dicking about with the prose.
Drop Me a Line. Seriously.
If you’ve become mesmerised by this weird writing business, or if you’re thinking of starting, I’d love to hear from you. I hardly know anyone in real life, let alone writers, and it can be an isolating experience.
Talk to me in the comments or email me or hit me up on social media (when that arrives).

That’s it. It’s the end of page. Nothing more to see here, except the footer, and nobody’s interested in that.
