Minty’s Book Reviews
I’m gradually adding my book reviews to the site. Most were written as an aide memoire rather than for public consumption, but a few years ago I put a few online and was surprised by the positive responses. Now I’m transferring them over here.
The majority of reviews relate to novels found in the original version of 1001 Books You Must Read Before You Die. I hardly ever read recently published work.
These are my personal responses, for what they’re worth. I don’t have any background in Lit Crit and don’t pretend to offer any penetrating insights.
The reviews are generally quite positive. I like most of the stuff that I read. Books are rated out of five.
I like talking books, so whether you think a review has hit the bullseye, or if I’m wide of the mark, drop me a comment on the relevant post or send me a message.
Psst… wanna try my book?

That’s it. It’s the end of page. Nothing more to see here, except the footer, and nobody’s interested in that.
